RiverRun International Film Festival
April 22-29, 2009

RiverRun is a competitive event that annually showcases new films from both established and emerging filmmakers around the world. Each spring, RiverRun screens new narrative, documentary, short, student and animated films.

The Festival also presents a broad range of special events each year, including high-profile regional premieres of significant films, celebrity tributes, family matinees and classic retrospectives as well as a variety of panel discussions and parties.

Strategic Plan for the
Creative Enterprises and the Arts Cluster Announced

The Comprehensive Regional Strategy and Action Plan for the Piedmont Triad Creative Enterprises and the Arts cluster was presented at an event for the creative community and regional leaders last month. The Piedmont Triad Partnership provided the funding for this report through its U.S. Department of Labor WIRED grant. The strategic plan identifies the creative assets in the Piedmont Triad Region, and offers specific recommendations for growing the creative economy.
