Engineering Research Center funded at NC A&T

North Carolina A&T State University has been awarded a grant for an Engineering Research Center (ERC) from the National Science Foundation (NSF). The university will receive more than $18 million to fund the Engineering Research Center for Revolutionizing Metallic Biomaterials. The center will perform research in biomedical engineering, including implants that could help children with birth defects and minimize invasive procedures. N.C. A&T is the first historically black college in the country to lead a multimillion-dollar National Science Foundation project to develop a research center on its campus.
