ACC Coatings, manufacturer of custom designed coatings for the packaging industry, will relocate to Elkin and invest $1.05 million in building renovations. The company will move eight employees from New Jersey and create two new jobs. David Steel, president of ACC Coatings, said “Surry County, and in particular Elkin, offered to my company an excellent combination of building size and location and price that was better than all of the other potential sites that we evaluated.” He added that Elkin’s access to Interstate 77 will keep shipping costs low.
